RCMP say search efforts for a missing Portugal Cove South man have been exhausted.
Sixty-eight-year-old Loyola Hartery left his home on an ATV early last Friday morning but failed to return as scheduled.
An extensive search was conducted involving Central Avalon Ground Search and Rescue, as well as aerial searches by 103 Search and Rescue Squadron, provincial government air services, and the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association.
Additional coastline searches were carried out by the Canadian Coast Guard between Chance Cove Park and just west of Trepassey.
RCMP say their thoughts are with Hartery’s family.
They’re also offering their thanks to the numerous community members who helped with the search.
