The PC Party is voicing concerns over proposed increases on fuel taxes.
The party says the legislation to add more taxes on fuel was introduced in the House of Assembly yesterday.
“Enough is enough” interim leader David Brazil told Premier Andrew Furey in the legislature.
He says his party is hearing from people every day who cannot afford to make ends meet, and they will do “everything possible” to block the carbon tax increase.
Furey says government is taking an evidence-based approach different than that taken in the past. The Premier asserted that government is doing a good job but Brazil countered with “the people of Newfoundland and Labrador would argue, and think differently.”
