Montreal Canadiens win No. 1 pick in 2022 NHL Draft Lottery

The Montreal Canadiens have won the No. 1 pick in the 2022 NHL Draft Lottery. The New Jersey Devils received the No. 2 pick and the Arizona Coyotes will pick at No. 3.

Montreal entered the lottery with the best odds of winning at 18.5 percent, followed by Arizona at 13.5 percent and Seattle at 11.5 percent. This will be the sixth time in franchise history that the Canadiens draft first.

Kingston Frontenacs center Shane Wright is projected to be the top pick at this year’s draft, which is scheduled to be held at the Bell Center in Montreal on July 7-8.
